Changes to Medicare Advantage routine hearing benefits and network, effective Jan. 1, 2020
Ensuring our members have access to quality, affordable health care is our top priority. That’s why in 2020, we’re launching a new routine hearing and hearing aid benefit for all Priority Health Medicare Advantage members, administered by TruHearing.
Under this new benefit, Medicare Advantage plan members will get an annual routine hearing exam at no cost and be able to purchase hearing aids for a copayment amount of $295, $695, $1095 or $1495 per aid, depending on the hearing aid selected.
To use their routine hearing benefits, our Medicare Advantage members must see a hearing provider within the TruHearing provider network. If a member chooses to see a licensed hearing provider not in the TruHearing network, the member will have to pay for those services out-of-pocket.
How to contract with TruHearing
If you’re a Priority Health hearing provider who is not yet part of the TruHearing network, you’ll need to become a TruHearing contracted provider to continue providing routine hearing services to Priority Health Medicare Advantage members.
