Facilities: Starting March 1, you'll see newborns on the mother's remit
Starting March 1, newborn deliveries will be paid from the mother's benefits, to align with the Newborn and Mother's Protection Act.
You do not need to do anything different. You'll continue to bill us as you always have. When you receive your remittance advice, you'll see that the claim paid under the mother's benefits and the mother's name.
This change is only for our commercial members. There's no change in how we're paying or displaying payments for Medicaid members.
