Authorization is no longer required for in-network hospice services
Effective 07/28/2020, authorization is not required for in-network hospice services. We’re making this change to reduce your administrative burden and avoid delaying your patients access to hospice care.
For members who have plans that require out-of-network approval, prior authorization is still required for out of network hospice services.
Look for this update to be included in the posting of our revised Hospice Care 95120 policy in late August.
