Faxes will no longer be sent for some transplant and out-of-network auth approvals
Starting May 25, we'll no longer fax an approval for transplant and out-of-network authorizations, unless the authorization request is considered urgent. This follows our process for all other services.
To check the status of your authorizations, use our Auth Inquiry tool or Clear Coverage or eviCore, depending on the service for which you requested authorization. Access those tools by clicking on Request an authorization.
You'll continue to get letters for all Medicare approvals/denials and for commercial and Medicaid members when:
- A service is denied
- An out-of-network service is approved
