Over-the-counter (OTC) allowance Plus

Over-the-counter health purchases can really add up over time. That's why we include an allowance on many of our plans so you can purchase thousands of health and wellness products to support your health.

If your plan is eligible, you’ll receive a Priority Health Medicare OTC card loaded with an allowance you can use on things like aspirin, cold medicine, compression socks and more.

  • Your OTC card will come in the mail and will be automatically reloaded.
  • There are several convenient ways to buy health items: shop in-store at Meijer (NEW for 2024), Walmart, Kroger, CVS, Walgreens, Rite-Aid, Dollar General or Family Dollar; order online at www.priorityhealth.com/OTC; or purchase by phone or mail order.
  • Your card will be re-loaded with your allowance. Your balance will not roll over and funds expire at the end of each calendar month or quarter, depending on your plan.

OTC Plus allowance

We know fresh and healthy food is important for a healthy you. That’s why members with certain chronic conditions (such as if you have diabetes, cardiovascular disorders and others) will be able to spend their OTC allowance in-store on healthy food and produce at the same locations they can purchase their OTC items from.

  • Your OTC Plus allowance will be reloaded automatically.
  • You get to decide how this Plus allowance will best meet your needs. While this amount can be used on food purchases in-store only, it can also be used for standard OTC items purchased online or via phone or mail order.

Available on PriorityMedicare Key, PriorityMedicare ONE, PriorityMedicare Thrive and PriorityMedicare Vital plans. Members who qualify for Special Supplemental Benefits for the Chronically Ill (SSBCI) may also use their OTC Plus card to purchase healthy foods and produce in-store. Not all members qualify. To see if you qualify, call the number on the back of your ID Card.
