The new Provider Portal for Priority Health is going live on September 1, and registration is beginning this summer. If you’re not a Site Administrator and you currently use prism, mark your calendars for Monday, August 3 as the date you can register for an account on our new portal—as long as a site has been created for your Type 2 NPI.
Is registration for the new Provider Portal required?
Beginning September 1, prism will be shut down and no longer accessible. So if you want portal access to work with Priority Health online, you need to register for an account on the new Provider Portal.
You will be able to do basic member eligibility and claim status checks online without an account.
How long does account registration take?
Requesting an account should take you less than 10 minutes. There are two parts:
- Requesting an account: You’ll need your organization’s Type 2 NPI (Type 1 can be accepted if Type 2 does not exist for your organization).
- Completing identity verification: You’ll need a device with a user-facing camera and a government-issued ID.
After you request your account, the Site Administrator for the site will need to approve your request. Request an account as soon as possible to avoid delays.
Why does a site need to be created for my Type 2 NPI first?
A site must be created in our new Provider Portal for each practice, hospital or group before users can create portal accounts that access that organization’s data. Each account needs to be affiliated to an existing site.
Only a Site Administrator can create a site. Before you register for an account, make sure you get confirmation from someone within your organization that a site has been created. Otherwise, your account request will be denied.
Is there training I can access to learn how to request an account?
Yes, training for account registration begins on Monday, July 27 at noon. You can register now here. Registration for additional training dates will open soon for:
- Wednesday, July 29 at noon
- Monday, August 3 at noon
- Wednesday, August 5 at noon
