Site creation for Priority Health’s new Provider Portal is underway and going well. Thanks to the thousands of you who have requested a site so far. If you ran into any issues or had questions while requesting a site, we have some updates for you here.
July 15, 2026
7/15/2026: Sturgis Hospital closed as of June 19, 2026
Sturgis Hospital in Sturgis, Michigan, is closed and therefore no longer available for Priority Health members of any plan type. This includes emergency services. This change is retroactively effective back to June 19, 2026, when the hospital closed.

7/15/2026: Account registration for our new Provider Portal opens for all users on August 3
The new Provider Portal for Priority Health is going live on September 1, and registration is beginning this summer. If you’re not a Site Administrator and you currently use prism, mark your calendars for Monday, August 3 as the date you can register for an account on our new portal—as long as a site has been created for your Type 2 NPI.

Member eligibility response (271) changes coming Sept. 1
On Sept. 1, 2026, we’ll update how we generate and return member eligibility responses (271) as part of our Provider Portal’s transition to Epic.

6/8/2026: prism Security Administrators: Create a site for our new Provider Portal beginning Monday, June 15
Site creation for our new Provider Portal is opening on Monday, June 15. If you are currently a prism Security Administrator (pSA), you’ll receive an email and prism notification on June 15 with a link and instructions for creating a site. Open these messages and take action immediately.

5/26/26: New Provider Portal coming September 1; registration begins as early as June
We’re launching a new Provider Portal to replace prism on September 1 (moved back from the previously announced date of August 1). Mark your calendars for June 15, when Site Administrators (current prism Security Administrators) are scheduled to begin creating sites for each practice, hospital or provider group with a distinct Type 2 NPI. Account creation for all remaining users is then scheduled to begin on August 3.

Notice of Admission required for inpatient admissions effective Sept. 1
Effective Sept. 1, 2026, we’ll require Notice of Admission (NOA) for hospital inpatient admissions for all plan types (commercial, Medicaid and Medicare). NOA is separate from and in addition to authorization requirements.

Temporary, expanded coverage of MMR vaccine
Priority Health will follow guidance from MDHHS in covering an accelerated dose of the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine for children 6-11 months old, through at least May 16, 2026.
