There’s a new Important Message from Medicare (IM) form available, which hospitals are required to begin using by May 15, 2026.
This form informs Medicare members of their appeal rights when discharged from an inpatient hospital stay.
The updated form, approved for three years, is available through the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) website.
