Medigap discounts

6.5% new member discount

New Priority Health Medigap members who have never had a Priority Health Medigap plan are eligible for a 6.5% reduction in their monthly premium.

If you qualify for a new member discount, you will be notified by mail. The new member discount will expire upon your next renewal date.

12% household discount

As a Priority Health Medigap member, you may be eligible for a 12% reduction in premium if another person in your household currently has or is enrolling in a Priority Health Medigap plan. The discounted rate will apply as long as each policy considered for the discount remains in effect and policyholders remain in the same household.

A household is defined as a condominium unit, a single-family home or an apartment unit within an apartment complex. Assisted living facilities, group homes, adult daycare facilities, nursing homes or any other health residential facilities are not included in the definition of a household. You do not need to be related to the other qualifying members of your household to receive this discount.

If you qualify for a household discount, you will be notified by mail. The household discount will be applied upon renewal or upon becoming a qualified member of a household, whichever is later.

Hearing aid program and vision discounts

Priority Health Medigap members are eligible for the hearing aid program and vision discount services through TruHearing® and EyeMed®. Please note, these services are discounts, not insurance 

Hearing

As a part of your Priority Health Medigap plan you have a hearing aid program available through TruHearing. The program includes:

  • $0 copay for one comprehensive hearing exam, per year
  • Four levels of hearing aids with copays ranging from $495 - $1,695, per year
  • A 60-day risk-free trial and three-year warranty on hearing aids
  • One year of follow-up visits for fittings and adjustments
  • 80 batteries per hearing aid (rechargeable not included).

Vision

Priority Health Medigap members can get discounts on vision through the EyeMed Discount Plan. Discounts include:

  • $5 off retail cost for eye exams
  • $10 off contact lens exam
  • 35% off the retail price for frames and lenses
  • 15% off the retail price for conventional contact lenses
  • 20% off the retail price of additional lens add-ons and services
  • 15% off the retail price of LASIK or 5% off a promotional price
