What’s the goal of these surveys?

  • Children’s Special Health Care Services (CSHCS) CAHPS: CSHCS CAHPS targets families of children with special health care needs to gain insight into how their providers coordinate complex care, support family engagement and meet specialized service needs.
  • Child Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers & Systems (CAHPS): Child CAHPS gathers feedback from parents and caregivers of children enrolled in Medicaid health plans to evaluate patients’ access to care, communication from providers and overall satisfaction with the care they receive. These surveys are helpful tools for providers in identifying strengths and areas of opportunity in their care delivery. CAHPS results drive quality improvement initiatives and enhance patient care.
