Supplemental cancer detection and support resources launching for some members with coverage through their employers

Published on Oct 21, 2026

To meet employer demand for benefits that can help detect cancer early  and support employees diagnosed with cancer, Priority Health is launching partnerships with Color Health® and GRAIL®. Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, Priority Health will offer self-funded employer groups two optional buy-ups:

  • Cancer navigation, support and screening with Color
  • Multi-cancer early detection with GRAIL

Both of these buy-ups would supplement, not replace, the member’s existing cancer care.

Buy-up details

With Color, employers can choose one, two or all three of the following:

  • Early detection and prevention, including at-home cervical, prostate and colorectal screenings and genetic testing for hereditary cancer risk
  • Active treatment management for members diagnosed with cancer
  • Survivorship care for members who have had cancer

The GRAIL buy-up includes the Galleri® early cancer detection test, which screens for more than 50 cancer types, including those without routine screening, as well as support services for members who receive positive test results.

Note that GRAIL/Galleri has been available to PriorityMedicare Thrive® and Thrive Plus® members since Jan. 1, 2025. It will continue to be available for those members.

Eligibility and cost

If employers choose this optional product, all employees aged 18+, as well as covered spouses and dependents enrolled in the employer's Priority Health plan, are eligible for Color. Support is available regardless of cancer type, stage or where someone is in their cancer journey. Member cost-share is $0.

For the GRAIL Galleri test, members must be 50 and above or 35-49 with additional risks. Member cost-share is either $0 or $100, depending on the employer’s plan selection.

Provider collaboration

Color and GRAIL are committed to working with a member’s local providers when they have the member’s consent to do so. Both programs are supplements to existing care, not replacements.

Color is a virtual cancer clinic that includes a nationwide team of oncologists, physicians, oncology nurses, dietitians, care advocates and survivorship specialists. When granted permission by the member, this team will communicate with the member’s local care team to ensure the member receives timely, coordinated support. This includes sharing records whenever appropriate.

GRAIL’s Galleri test may be ordered by the member, but results will be communicated to the member’s care team when their consent is obtained to coordinate any necessary follow-up care, evaluations or support.
