New product offering more primary care choices available beginning January 1 for some members with coverage through their employers

Published on Oct 21, 2026

Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, Priority Health will offer self-funded employer groups an optional buy-up called Primary Care Connect. Members with this buy-up can participate in direct primary care through Aligned Marketplace®. The goal is to reach members who don’t have an existing PCP relationship. All members, including those with access to Primary Care Connect, will continue to be covered for primary care sought through the Priority Health network.

Why is Priority Health offering this product?

Many of our members with coverage through their employers haven’t seen a PCP in at least 12 months. The goal of Primary Care Connect is to reach those members—not those who have existing PCP relationships.

We’re also offering this product in response to the increasing employer demand for direct primary care coverage, which is in many cases leading employers to forego traditional healthcare coverage for their employees. By integrating direct primary care into the coverage we offer, we’re hoping to retain these members and keep them seeing our network providers as much as possible.

What kind of care is included?

Primary Care Connect offers participating members access to a platform where they can find virtual and in-person primary care on a subscription-based model . Care can include routine checkups, chronic condition management, lifestyle and wellness care, medication adherence support and early intervention.

How do Primary Care Connect providers work with Priority Health network providers?

Some Primary Care Connect providers are also in Priority Health’s network. However, those not in Priority Health’s network will communicate with our network providers and share records just as any PCP in our network would. This includes referring to in-network specialists and facilities, as appropriate.
