Priority Health and Arine announce partnership to manage medication and optimize patient outcomes

(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Nov. 10, 2022) Priority Health, a nationally recognized nonprofit health plan, announced today a partnership with Arine, a medication intelligence company that specializes in technology that optimizes medication therapy, reduces costs and improves outcomes for health plans and providers.

After a thorough analysis and selection process to identify medication therapy programs for its members, Priority Health selected Arine because of the company’s differentiated AI-driven approach to create a whole patient picture that goes beyond the check-the-box quality programs. Priority Health will leverage Arine’s platform across the organization to continue to achieve the highest quality ratings across several Part C and D Star measures for Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.

“Priority Health is committed to improving health outcomes for our members and reducing costs,” said Christina Barrington, vice president of pharmacy programs at Priority Health. “We know that health is personal, and a member’s medical condition and medication needs can change every year. Through this partnership, our members will continue receiving the care they need, lower their prescription costs and receive personalized medication advice.”

Priority Health Medicare Advantage members have access to Priority Health’s Medication Therapy Management (MTM) program at no additional cost. This program connects members with a certified pharmacist for a yearly comprehensive medication review that can help reduce costs and improve overall health.

Arine makes multidimensional data actionable, pinpointing the safest and most effective medication regimens for each patient, based on their individual needs. The proprietary technology platform pulls insights from a complex ecosystem of clinical, socioeconomic and behavioral data to optimize patient outcomes and deliver value-based care.

“Arine is thrilled to work alongside one of the most innovative and respected regional Medicare Advantage plans as they push the envelope on continuous improvement,” said Yoona Kim, PharmD, PhD, co-founder and CEO of Arine. “Our goal is to elevate quality of care while reducing cost of care in a scalable manner that empowers their provider network with our platform’s medication intelligence and meets the unique and evolving needs of Priority Health’s members.”
