Priority Health and Affinia Health Network reach new agreement to expand access to care for Michiganders

(Grand Rapids, Mich. – January 19, 2021) After a year-long pilot, Priority Health and Affinia Health Network have officially launched a new agreement that allows Priority Health members with Medicaid coverage to seek health care services with Affinia's clinicians and providers that span across eight counties in West Michigan. This new agreement adds Affinia Health Network's 1,648 clinicians, 609 advanced providers and 254 primary care physicians to the Priority Health Medicaid network.

"We are always looking for ways to broaden our network and provide our members with additional options for high quality, affordable care," said Mike Jasperson, Senior Vice President of Provider Network at Priority Health. "Affinia Health Network is a long-standing, trusted partner and we look forward to continuing our work together in order to best serve our Medicaid members here in West Michigan."

This new agreement expands upon an existing partnership between Priority Health and Affinia Health Network, a clinically integrated network (CIN) within the Trinity Health System. The physician-led CIN focuses on transforming health care in West Michigan through collaborative relationships with physicians, health systems, payers, patients and communities.

"Affinia Health Network is committed to providing the West Michigan community with the access to timely, affordable, and quality care, and we are excited about this new offering for our patients," said Shaun Raleigh, Vice President of Population Health at Affinia Health Network. "As we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic, and access to care is more important than ever, we want to make sure that people are aware of their options."
