Priority Health introduces new plan that will offer significant savings for Southwest Michigan residents

(Grand Rapids, Mich. –Nov. 16, 2016) Priority Health is unveiling a new narrow network health insurance option for Southwest Michigan giving individuals an option to reduce their health care costs while receiving high quality care within the Bronson Healthcare system.

The Priority Health plan called Bronson Healthcare Partners will be offered to individuals in Kalamazoo County and areas of Calhoun and Van Buren counties. The advantage of this new plan is that it provides consumers access to high quality care at a cost 20 percent lower than the Michigan average. It also provides full access to the Bronson Healthcare system of hospitals and physicians.

“We are proud to offer Southwest Michigan residents a health plan that has remarkable value at an affordable price,” said Marti Lolli, senior vice president of Commercial Markets for Priority Health. “We’ve seen tremendous success with our narrow network plan in Kent County, and we anticipate the same positive response from those in the Southwest community.”

Priority Health launched a similar plan, Spectrum Health Partners in Kent County in 2015 and it has been well received in the market. In fact, in the first year, more than 5,000 new customers chose this plan for their health care coverage. According to the 2016 McKinsey Center for U.S. Health Reform, half of the plans on the Health Insurance Marketplace (HealthCare.gov) have narrow network plans.

Priority Health is offering the Bronson Healthcare Partners plan with a range of health plan options, from holistic care--a health plan that offers coverage for non-traditional medicine like acupuncture, to high deductible health plans, allowing consumers to choose which plan is right for them

MyPriority plan options offered with the Bronson Healthcare Partners plan are:

• MyPriority HMO RxPlus

• MyPriority HSA bronze

• MyPriority HMO Holistic bronze

• MyPriority HMO Holistic silver

Members who enroll in these plans will get the benefit of coordinated care within the extensive Bronson health system, health coaching upon request, and care management for those that are most at-risk for chronic health conditions. Priority Health encourages members to use tools, such as the Priority Health Find a Doctor directory, to ensure physicians are in the health system’s network before enrolling in a plan. Priority Health has also created resources to assist individuals in considering their options for health insurance coverage. Visit mypriority.com to learn more.
