Getting a ride

It can be hard to get to a doctor's visit, particularly when buses aren't an option, you don't have a car or can't find a driver. We can help.

Who can get a ride?

We offer transportation to Priority Health Choice®, Inc. Medicaid and Healthy Michigan Plan members.

Where can the driver take me?

The driver can take you to your:

  • Doctor's office
  • Pharmacy
  • Appointments for other covered services like physical therapy

When do I need to schedule my ride?

You can schedule a ride up to two weeks in advance of your appointment or pharmacy visit, and at least three business days before your visit. Calls for a ride must be made at least three business days before your scheduled appointment by calling 888.975.8102. We’re available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Select option 1, enter your member ID number followed by the # symbol, then press 2 for transportation.

What do I have to do after I call for a ride?

Make sure to be at the address you gave when making your appointment and be ready at least one hour before your specified pick-up time. Your driver may need to verify the address of where you want to go.

What if I have special equipment needs?

If you need special assistance, let us know when you schedule, so we can arrange the proper transportation.

What if my appointment is cancelled?

If you need to cancel your ride, please call us 24 hours in advance by calling 888.975.8102. We’re available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

What if I need a ride to an appointment billed by a Community Mental Health (CMH) provider?

If you need a ride to services that are billed by a CMH provider, such as specialty mental health services, intellectual/developmental disability services and substance abuse services, the CMH provider may be able to help.

Mileage reimbursement

What if I have a ride but need to be covered for the cost?

Log into your member portal to start the mileage reimbursement process. You can also follow the instructions by selecting your county below.

For members living in Wayne, Macomb or Oakland counties

Online

  1. Call 833.944.0535 to approve your appointment.
  2. Complete a driver registration application.
  3. Download a mileage reimbursement form. Make sure to bring it to your appointment.
  4. Submit your mileage reimbursement form.

For members living in all other counties
