Additional resources

We know there are many resources out there that don’t have accurate information on cancer or cancer treatments. We offer resources that have information specific to your diagnosis and treatment. Talk to your care manager and visit our health library for more information. You can also visit The Michigan Cancer Consortium website to learn more about symptom management, clinical trials, healthy lifestyle tips and access to cancer survivor toolkits. Click on the Resources then For Your Patients tabs, to learn more.

Second opinions

Getting a second opinion can help you feel more confident about your diagnosis and treatment plan. Finding a doctor to offer a second opinion about your treatment can be a challenge. Contact your care manager for options that are right for you.

Clinical trials

Clinical trials explore the use of new drugs, procedures or improvements to existing treatments. Participating in clinical trials can help others with cancer and contribute to treatment research. Check with your oncologist for clinical trials that align with your treatment plan. As a member, clinical trials may be available to you at no cost depending on your health plan. Call the number on the back of your member ID card for more information on your plan benefits.
