What's the difference between in-network and out-of-network care?

Networks are made up of providers and facilities that have partnered with health plans to provide you with high quality care for a lower price. Priority Health has an array of networks that differ based on what type of plan you have.

Staying in your plan’s network means you’ll pay a lower cost for your health care. Care that’s out-of-network generally costs more because it isn’t administered by the providers and facilities within your plan’s network. Depending on the type of plan you have, your network size and locations may vary. Make sure you get in-network care to avoid overpaying for services.
