Shannon Wilson named Vice President of State Markets East at Priority Health

(Detroit, Mich. – Feb. 3, 2021) Priority Health has announced that Shannon Wilson has been named the Vice President of State Markets East.

In this role, Wilson is responsible for managing and growing the Priority Health Medicaid program in Southeast Michigan and ensuring the quality of the program statewide. She will also serve as the Executive Director of the newly formed Total Health Care Foundation, and lead community relations initiatives in Southeast Michigan and the company’s efforts to address Social Determinants of Health (SDoH).

Prior to accepting her role at Priority Health, Wilson served as the Executive Director of the Grand Rapids African American Health Institute, Vice President of the Alliance for Health, Scientific Program Coordinator at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the first health disparities epidemiologist at the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.

Wilson received her B.S. in medical microbiology from Michigan State University and her M.P.H. from the University of Michigan.
