Remember to refer members to in-network providers, including labs

Participating providers have a contractual obligation to use in-network providers when referring our members for services.

A significant number of contracted providers refer members to out-of-network laboratories. This puts members at risk of having to pay higher costs. When tests are available at in-network labs, these additional costs are unnecessary.

Make sure you're following your provider contract and requirements and responsibilities located in our provider manual to refer members to in-network labs.
