Priority Health product changes coming Jan. 1
As a non-profit health plan, it's our goal to offer product options that provide access to affordable and excellent health care. A tiered network plan allows us to provide options to our members and our employer groups who strive to offer competitive benefits with choice and flexibility to meet various needs. For providers, a tiered plan offers the opportunity to grow your practice through increased patient volume. For patients, tiered plans offer choice and flexibility with options to reduce out-of-pocket costs and give access to care at some of the top hospital systems in specific regions of Michigan.
Beginning Jan. 1, 2019, we have two new tiered networks:
Spectrum Health employer group tiered network
Spectrum Health employees who live in a seven-county region in West Michigan (Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon and Ottawa) will have a change to medical benefits in 2019. Employees will have three plan options: HMO, HMO-HSA and POS. Each of these options will have a tiered network, meaning employees will pay different costs depending on the providers and facilities they use.
Southeast Michigan Partners tiered network
Employers in Oakland, Macomb, Wayne, Washtenaw, St. Clair, and Livingston counties have a tiered network option. Together Health Network will be Priority Health's provider partner for participation in the network for tier 1 benefits.
