Healthy aging starts here

It's never too late – or too early – to make healthy aging a priority.

Your plan includes a number of benefits and resources to support you as you age.

Physical health

Reach your fitness goals

Some things get better with age – your health can be one of them.

Health is more than a yearly doctor visit, especially as you get older. Staying active, getting good sleep, and spending time with others all matter. So does keeping your mind sharp and being able to handle daily tasks. These things help you stay independent and enjoy a better quality of life.

Physical health

Your physical health begins with a no-cost Annual Wellness Visit and annual physical with your primary care provider (PCP). These visits help you find health issues early or prevent them before they start.

These visits are also a good time to talk with your provider. You can discuss how active you are, ways to keep or build strength and mobility and any concerns about your medications.

Fall prevention

Did you know that more than one in four people age of and older will fall each year?1 Falls are the top cause of brain injuries and hip fractures.1

Luckily, your plan includes benefits and resources that can help lower your fall risk. You are encouraged to:

  • Stay active
  • Improve strength, mobility and balance
  • Have your vision checked regularly
  • Be mindful of home hazards and safety needs

Mental and emotional health

Mental and emotional health are a key part of your well-being. They can also affect your physical health. Your health plan gives you access to in-person and virtual mental health support. This includes counseling, behavioral health services and programs that help you stay connected and build a sense of community.

Here are a few more tips to support your emotional wellness:

  • Stay connected to friends, family or other community
  • Have hobbies and activities that help you relax and feel good
  • Ask for support if feelings of stress, worry or sadness are ongoing
