The City of Lansing is one of 25 Campaign Partners building a network of Fitness Courts across the state, with the help of Priority Health.
Lansing Mayor Andy Schor said, “We are thrilled to offer this resource to our residents in southwest Lansing. This is a fantastic opportunity for our community to engage in healthy activities, and to ensure that everyone has the chance to incorporate exercise into their daily lives.”
There are now 26 Priority Health Fitness Courts in Michigan, bringing free access to exercise and overall health and wellness to neighbors across the state. Last year alone, more than 205,000 Michiganders used the courts, burning more than 51 million calories.
“We are excited to have the City of Lansing join us in the journey to improve health and wellness as we work to make a powerful and long-lasting impact on health outcomes and happiness by building healthy communities across America,’’ said Mitch Menaged, founder of National Fitness Campaign. “The addition of the third outdoor Fitness Court in Lansing, along with digital wellness programming, demonstrates a tremendous commitment to the health and well-being within the Lansing community.”
