Nine new Fitness Courts launched in 2025, including two outdoor studios
(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — October 28, 2025) Priority Health and National Fitness Campaign (NFC) celebrated two new Priority Health Fitness Courts® in the cities of Romulus and Bangor, bringing free, outdoor wellness to Michiganders.
Located at Opportunity Park, 35765 Northline Rd., Romulus unveiled its new Priority Health Fitness Court Studio on October 17. The Fitness Court Studio is an outdoor gym that lets users use their own body weight for a complete workout across seven exercise stations. The Fitness Court includes a second outdoor wellness classroom, offering a space for Zumba, yoga, Pilates, dance and an endless variety of outdoor classes.
Bangor Public Schools announced its new Priority Health Fitness Court on October 20, located at the high school (801 West Arlington Street) for both students and the community to utilize.
This year alone, Priority Health opened nine new Fitness Courts, including two outdoor studios, expanding its statewide network to 33 courts. These additions reinforce Priority Health’s commitment to leadership in promoting active lifestyles and fostering healthier communities. Each Fitness Court® bridges the space between community gathering, works of art and fitness.
“This has been an incredible year of growth for our Fitness Court network, and it’s all thanks to the passion and partnership of local communities,” said Nick Gates, interim president at Priority Health. “At Priority Health, we believe all people have the right to a healthy life. With new Fitness Courts now open in Romulus and Bangor, and nine added across the state this year, we’re proud to support a movement that’s making Michigan a healthier, more active place to live.”
With the successful launch season now wrapped, Priority Health looks ahead in 2026 to continued growth and collaboration with local partners to bring even more Fitness Courts to neighborhoods across the state.
