More than just a leader in health coverage
Priority Health impacts Michigan lives at the grassroots level

(GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — January 23, 2024) More than 1.3 million Priority Health members, as well as residents across the state, experienced hands-on support this past year through Priority Health’s excellent customer care and impactful partnerships and sponsorships in communities across Michigan.

In its 2023 Community Impact Report, Priority Health highlights the strength and extraordinary results that come from the power of partnerships and sponsorships.

PriorityPups™ caring for the next generation: Goldendoodle “Scout” eased fears and calmed anxiety in grade-school children in Muskegon in Priority Health’s Priority Pups Program set to expand in 2024.

Diaper Distributions nurture a healthier future: Nearly 2,000 families with infants received free diapers in a 16-week diaper distribution that spanned from West Michigan to Detroit.

Priority Health Total Health Foundation serves Southeast Michigan: 53 grants were awarded to nonprofits in Southeast Michigan that are addressing social determinants of health, such as poverty, food insecurity and access to quality health care and education.

Priority Health Fitness Courts expand access to health: 8 outdoor fitness courts that provide free access to exercise were added in neighborhoods and parks around Michigan to remove barriers to fitness and improve wellness for those in communities who wouldn’t normally have access. So far, 20 fitness courts across the state are within walking distance for nearly 28,000 residents and biking distance for more than 480,000.

“Our community partners are instrumental in our efforts to remove barriers to health and wellness across Michigan,” said Praveen Thadani, president of Priority Health. “Change is possible when we link arms to help people live healthier lives, especially our most vulnerable populations.”
