Agreement to Sell Care Choices to Priority Health

We want to share the good news of our expansion into Southeast Michigan. We signed an agreement to purchase Care Choices HMO, Care Choices PPO and Preferred Choices PPO from the Trinity Health System. These health plans are headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Joining with another of Michigan's top-rated plans is very good news for you, Priority Health and the members we serve. Priority Health and Care Choices share a reputation for outstanding customer service and clinical quality improvement. Employer groups will have increased choice and expanded access to high quality and affordable health care throughout our State.

This acquisition adds six counties to our service area and doubles the size of our network, providing additional access to employers and members. Once the sale is closed, all providers will have increased care and referral options. You have played an important role in our success and we expect the providers joining our network will play a similar role in the Southeast Michigan market. We plan to maintain an Eastern Michigan Office in Farmington Hills.

The sale is subject to regulatory approval which can take up to 120 days.
