Priority PPO health insurance plan

Happy Family

U.S. wide flexibility, local capabilities

Our preferred provider organization, PriorityPPOSM, offers you the most freedom of choice of all our health plans.
See a comparison of PriorityPOS to PriorityHMO and PriorityPPO.
  • Wherever you live in the U.S., you'll have doctors, hospitals and other health care providers nearby in your PriorityPPO plan network - and you pay a lower copay.
  • Whenever you like, you can you choose a doctor or hospital outside your PriorityPPO plan network. You will pay a higher copay for services from out-of-network health care providers.

PriorityPPO plan features

  • You don't need to choose a primary care physician or other primary health care provider to coordinate your care.
  • You don't need a referral to see a specialist, unless the specialist requires one.
  • You're covered for emergency care at the in-network level wherever you travel in the U.S.
  • You won't need to file claims when you use your in-network health care providers. We take care of virtually all paperwork.
  • Most plans will include a deductible, which is just like a car insurance deductible. It's the part you need to pay for health care services covered by your plan before the plan starts to pay for your care.
  • See all your copays, deductible balances, and prescription history when you create an account here at priorityhealth.com. Change your PCP and order new ID cars, too.
  • Fill your prescriptions at any pharmacy in our nationwide network for your normal copay when you have prescription coverage.
  • Some services, such as surgeries, require prior approval from Priority Health before your plan will cover them.
  • Rely on outstanding customer service, with extended phone service hours, calls answered within minutes, and e-mail responses within 24 hours. Contact Customer Service now.

You can search for health care providers by name, by location (ZIP code, city, and county), by specialty, and many other options.

Outside Michigan, you'll work with a nationwide partner network
Visit the website or call the number on your Priority Health ID card to search for doctors, hospitals, and other health care providers in-network where you live.

Questions about finding doctors, getting care, using your plan?

Your policy gives you complete plan details

You keep your policy for for 12 months, so if your plan began in August of 2009, use that year's policy until August 2010.  Find out if you have a standard or premier plan by looking at the "Schedule of Copayments and Deductibles" we send you at the beginning of your plan year. Most of our PPO members have the premier plan.
