Good health begins with you. Taking good care of your health will improve the quality of your life. Taking good care of your health means you:
  • Actively share in making treatment decisions with your doctor.
  • Ask questions of and express concerns to your doctor.
  • Work to build a strong relationship with your doctor.
  • Become aware of health problems before they become serious.

By working in partnership with your doctor, you can improve the quality of care you receive. At the first sign of health problems:
  • Keep written notes about the problem.
  • Write down anything unusual that might be related to the problem.
  • Call your doctor if problems continue and ask questions.
  • Make an appointment if necessary.
