Your health and claims data

  • Your claims: When doctors, hospitals and other health care providers bill us for services you receive, we collect that information in a database. When you use your personal username and password to log into your online account, our web tools show you the information we have about your account and the services you received.
  • Your personal health record: Our computers compare the claims information we have from your doctors and hospitals to our guidelines for good preventive care, and show you what care and screenings might be due for you.
Learn more about your online personal health record.

We offer this service to help you keep track of your health care and health care costs.

Are you seeing "incomplete" information?

Your personal online account will not show:

  • Any service billed to another health care plan
  • Claims so recent that they are not in our database yet
  • Information your doctor or other health care provider did not send to us

We protect your privacy

Your personal health information (we call it "protected health information," or PHI) is protected by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). It includes everything from your name and birth date to what health conditions you have and what health care services you receive. State and federal laws require us to make sure that your PHI is kept private.

Priority Health uses your PHI to coordinate and oversee your medical treatment and pay your medical claims. We may also use it to help us analyze and improve our operations. Every Priority Health employee is trained in and is required to handle your PHI with care in every setting.
