Help for People with Limited Incomes

If you have qualified for additional assistance for your Medicare prescription drug plan costs, the amount of your premium and cost at the pharmacy will be less. Once you have enrolled in any PriorityMedicare^SM plan for 2007, Medicare will tell us how much assistance you are receiving, and we will send you information on the amount you will pay.

If you qualify for extra help, you will pay a reduced monthly drug plan premium (which is part of the total premium). Your Medicare Part D drug plan premium may be reduced by 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%.  You will still be responsible for paying any Medicare Part B premium and for the Medicare Advantage plan premium, plus any premiums for enhanced drug coverage.

Find Out If You Qualify
You automatically qualify for additional assistance (lower premiums) if you are eligible for:

• Medicaid
• Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or
• A Medicare Savings Program

If you automatically qualify for this extra help paying for prescription drugs, you do not have to apply. You may receive (or may have received) a letter from Medicare or the Social Security Administration (SSA) about your eligibility for extra help in 2007. Read this important information carefully.
