Extra Help With Your Drug Plan Premium

If you have qualified for additional assistance for your Medicare prescription drug plan costs, the amount of your premium and your cost at the pharmacy will be less; see the charts below.

Once you have enrolled in the PriorityMedicareRxSM plan for 2007, Medicare will tell us how much assistance you are receiving, and we will send you information on the amount you will pay. Your Medicare Part D drug plan premium may be reduced by 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%. You will still be responsible for paying any Medicare Part B premium.

Find Out If You Qualify
You automatically qualify for additional assistance (lower premiums) if you are eligible for:
  • Medicaid
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or
  • A Medicare Savings Program
If you automatically qualify for this extra help paying for prescription drugs, you do not have to apply. You may receive (or may have received) a letter from Medicare or the Social Security Administration (SSA) about your eligibility for extra help in 2007. Read this important information carefully.

  • The State of Michigan Medicaid Office
  • 1-800 MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227), (TTY/TDD users should call 1-877-486-2048, 24 hours a day/7 days a week)
