Priority Medicare Rx

Rx Drug Plan
Avoid Penalties
Many people who join a Part D plan late will have to pay a  penalty on their monthly premiums. Find out how to avoid that penalty.

PriorityMedicareRxSM for 2007 is our Medicare prescription drug plan, available throughout Michigan. Think of it as prescription insurance, a way to save on your prescriptions now and to protect yourself from rising prescription costs in the future.

Premiums
Priority
MedicareRx costs $30.10 a month. (Remember, if you have Medicare Part B you must continue to pay your Part B premium, if not otherwise paid for under Medicaid or by another third party.) People with limited incomes may pay less.

What You'll Pay for Drugs
We've put together a chart explaining what your copayment will be for drugs depending on your total drug costs.

Who Can Join

All Michigan residents who are entitled to Medicare Part A and/or enrolled in Medicare Part B can choose PriorityMedicareRx as their Medicare prescription drug plan. You can only be enrolled in one Part D plan at a time, so if you are already enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan with Part D benefits, you do not need PriorityMedicareRx.

What is Covered
The drugs covered by this plan are listed in our approved drug list (formulary). It lists generics (least expensive), preferred brands, and non-preferred brands (most expensive). Always ask your doctor about getting generic drugs whenever possible; it can save you money.
