Priority Health works hard to promote and develop partnerships with our providers so your members get excellent care. We recognize the “best of the best” primary care practice groups in our network each year with our Quality Awards. For 2008, we gave awards in two categories: Exceptional Patient Care and Outstanding Health Care Value.
These doctors and practices earned the awards by meeting or exceeding national benchmarks for ensuring that patients receive preventive care and screenings, experience exceptional customer service and manage their chronic diseases.
The winners earned the highest weighted composite scores based on our Physician Incentive Program (PIP) measures. Now in its 13th year, PIP offers financial rewards to PCPs for superior performance, clinical quality and patient satisfaction. PIP measures reflect national standards and solid, evidence-based medicine.
PIP has been a great success for us, our providers and our members — Priority Health supports evidence-based medicine, members receive top-flight care and PCPs receive meaningful rewards.
