Troubleshooting Rate Generator
Having issues with Rate Generator, or have questions that the screencast or instructions can't answer? Use the troubleshooting guide below:
Accessing Rate Generator
Q: I can't open Rate Generator. Do I need an agent account?
Yes, if you're a Priority Health appointed agent, you'll need your own secure agent account on priorityhealth.com to access Rate Generator. (If you're not a Priority Health appointed agent, become one by filling out and submitting an agent agreement (245KB PDF).) When you create an account, you need to specifically request access to Rate Generator. If you're not an agent, you must get permission from the agent you work for to access their groups in Rate Generator. The agent must send an email to the agent services coordinator granting authorization for you to view their group information.
Q: Is there anything I need to do to my computer to use Rate Generator?
Once you have an account, you should be able to access Rate Generator with no problem. But we do recommend you verify your computer clock is set to the correct time and time zone. Your computer needs to be set at Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) or Eastern Standard Time (EST) to coincide with our servers and ensure your group and quote information saves correctly. To check the time zone:
- Right-click on the time in the lower right of your screen
- Click Adjust date/time
- Select EDT/EST
- Check the daylight savings box
- Verify and/or set the current time
Q: Why can't I see the document I'm trying to open?
Make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off. This is the only way to receive important updates or see rate grids, proposals or other information that opens in a separate browser window. To turn off your pop-up blocker, follow these instructions (based on the type of browser you have):
| Internet Explorer | Firefox |
| You click on a blue "e" to get to the Internet |
You click on an orange and blue logo to get to the Internet |
- Click Tools - Pop-up Blocker - Turn Off Pop-up Blocker
To make sure the blocker is always off when you're on Priority Health's website: - Click Tools - Pop-up Blocker Settings
- Type www.priorityhealth.com in the first bar
- Click Add
|
- Click Tools - Options
- Make sure "Block pop-up windows" is not checked
|
| Make sure to turn the blocker back on after you're done. |
Renewals
Q: I'd like to create a renewal quote for one of my groups but can't find them on my renewal list. When will they be there?
Your groups will appear on your renewals list 90 days before their renewal date.
Q: How do I create a renewal quote for one of my groups?
Follow the instructions in our online tutorial.
Q: I'd like to see my group's benefit summary before I start their renewal. Where can I find it?
The benefit summary is located with your group's information in Rate Generator. On your renewals list, click "quote" under View Renewals. Then click "view" under View Proposal. Finally click "print" under Benefit Summary. This will show the benefit summary in PDF format. See the online demo for more information.
Q: Where is the Renewal Verification Form (RVF)?
You can find a group's RVF from the RENEWALS - GROUP LIST screen by clicking "quote" under View Renewals. Then click "view" under View Proposal. To print the RVF, click the checkbox under "Print RVF" and click PRINT PACKET. This will show the RVF in PDF format, and you'll be able to print it. See the online demo for more information.
Q: Why can't I renew my group's current benefit design? And why are the renewal plan options so limited?
Most likely there is only one person from this group enrolled. In this case the group will only be offered our sole proprietor plans as renewal options on Rate Generator. If there are 2 or more eligible members, you can still quote using the options available on Rate Generator, but you must submit wage and tax documentation so we can verify eligibility. Since plan options differ based on group size and location, we want to ensure groups are presented with the correct plan designs. Contact the Small Business department with questions.
