Minimum value plans for large groups
At Priority Health, minimum value does not mean minimal benefits. That's why our minimum value plans (MVPs) are an ideal option for employers looking to offer their employees a lower-cost health plan that includes benefits beyond competitors' "stripped down" plans.
MVPs are also an attractive option for employers who did not previously offer benefits to their employees (or only offered benefits to a select segment), but are now required to offer benefits to all employees to avoid paying penalties. (For example, restaurants or retail stores.)
Remember, offering MVPs alongside other plan offerings satisfies your requirement to provide affordable coverage and provides another (low-cost) option for employees.
While some carriers have chosen to strip out benefits or limit access to providers in an effort to create a lower-priced, minimum value plan, Priority Health MVP plans are built on our popular HMO product chassis that combines low price and great benefits.
In designing our MVP plans, we adjusted deductible amounts and out-of-pocket maximums and simplified the coverage to be 100% after the deductible is met.
The HSA plan option includes an integrated medical and prescription drug deductible, while the non-HSA option includes ValueRx – which includes $15 generic drug copayments and a 75% member cost sharing for other drugs where the deductible does not apply.
Compare our HMO, POS and PPO plans to see which one best fits your organization.
