Using lists

Use lists to break up long sections of copy into easy-to-scan steps or points. Presenting steps or options in bulleted lists makes them more usable.

Bulleted lists

Use bulleted lists when list items do not have to be in any specific order.

Example:

Health Beat, our free Medicaid and MIChild subscriber newsletter, gives you:

  • Physician network additions
  • Changes to your benefits
  • Preventing disease
  • Childhood immunizations

Numbered lists

Use numbered lists for instructions or steps that are chronological.

Example:
