Review diabetic lab values – last test in 2011

While monitoring HbA1c and LDL levels, remember we measure the last test done in 2011. If you’ve already seen a diabetic patient and his or her date-of-service and lab values are reflected in Patient Profile, review that information to be sure it is current. If the test was completed earlier in the year and it is clinically indicated, reorder the test when seeing the patient at their follow-up visit before the end of the year. Note: If you supply lab values via the supplemental data report or in Patient Profile, a later claim will override previous data entered.
