Don’t re-fax authorization requests
When faxing a request for authorization, please do not re-fax the request unless you are sending additional information. To check the status of a previously submitted authorization, log in to the Provider Center and go to the Auth Inquiry page. If you do not have access, please contact the Provider Helpline at 800-942-4765.
Resubmitting a previously submitted fax or sending to multiple fax numbers will result in a delay, as this requires us to review each to ensure the latest submission is not a revision of the original. If you are faxing additional information, note this on the fax cover page. Contact your provider account representative (PAR) if you have questions.
