AIM no longer to accept faxes
In order to expedite the processing of diagnostic imaging exam requests, American Imaging Management (AIM) will no longer support requests via fax beginning January 1, 2012. All diagnostic imaging requests submitted on or after January 1, 2012, should be submitted online through AIM’s ProviderPortalSM or via telephone.
A few more details on ProviderPortal:
- It’s a web-based application that’s fully interactive and processes requests in real-time.
- Online order submission is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
- Providers can register for the ProviderPortal at www.americanimaging.net/goweb. If you have any questions about the registration process, contact AIM’s Web Help Desk at 800-552-0020 and press prompt #4.
- Requests can also be submitted to AIM via telephone at 800-552-0020, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (EDT).
After January 1, AIM will only accept faxes when in response to a request for additional clinical information.
