Medicaid coverage for foster care children

As of October 2010, the Department of Community Health (DCH) has mandated that foster care children enroll in a Medicaid Health Plan. This change was made to better manage their care. It is critical for children in foster care to have a physical within 30 days of enrolling in a health plan in order to establish their physical conditions and assess their health needs.
