Cost variation reports

As part of our commitment to accountable care that optimizes clinical outcomes and ensures the best care experience, we sent cost “Variation Reports” to certain orthopedic, gastroenterology, cardiologists and ENT specialty practices in March 2011. We plan to provide reporting to additional specialties in the months ahead.

• These reports focus on the efficient use of health care resources and reflect services provided to Priority Health members over a three-year period.
• They also compare performance to regional peers practicing the same specialty.
• We plan to issue variation reports at least twice a year and will share the report data with referring physicians, hospitals, PHOs and employers.

If you have questions about this program or the reports, contact your provider account representative (PAR). To locate the PAR assigned to your practice, log in to "Find a Doctor" and look under your practice group or individual physician’s name.
