Talk with your patients about using surgery centers

Do your patients know costs vary based on where a procedure is done? If your patient is planning a non-emergency test or surgery, and a surgical center (or your office) is appropriate for their situation, it may be a cost-saving option. Same excellent care. Less stressful setting.

Here are some questions we’re suggesting your patients discuss with you:

  • Do I have a choice about where I have this done?
  • Can you do the procedure in your office or local outpatient surgery center?
  • Is the hospital the best or only choice for my care?
