Annual well child visits required for PIP measure

Are there children who have not yet been seen in your office this year? Now is the time to schedule their well child visits, as each child age 3-6 must receive a well child visit during 2011 to meet this PIP measure.

Children are eligible for a well child visit once each contract year. To determine your patients’ eligibility, log in to the Provider Center and go to Member Inquiry. When viewing the member’s eligibility screen, you will see Contract Renewal Date, which will indicate when in 2011 their contract renewed. If the member had a well child visit in December 2010 and their contract renewed in March 2011, they are again eligible for a well child visit.
