Administering spirometry tests
CMS recommends that patients diagnosed with COPD (ICD-9-CM Diagnosis 491, 492, and 496) get a
spirometry test at the time of their diagnosis or within six months of the diagnosis. That’s why we’re partnering with an outside vendor to administer spirometry tests for members who have been diagnosed with COPD in the past six months and haven’t had this test. If you administer the test, please use the following CPT codes to bill it to Priority Health.
