Guidelines for the identification and management of lead exposure in pregnant and lactating women
are based on scientific data to prevent lead exposure during pregnancy, testing during pregnancy, medical/environmental management to reduce fetal exposure, breastfeeding, and follow up of infants/children exposed in utero.
