2011 AIM toolkits offer helpful resources
The Alliance for Immunization in Michigan (AIM) tool kit is a great resource. If you haven’t received yours, go to aimtoolkit.org. It includes:
- A guide for mandatory physician disease reporting to local health departments
- Sources of vaccine information and CME opportunities
- Participate in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program so your practice can receive vaccines at no charge for Medicaid-eligible children up to 18 years old
- Tips for talking to families about vaccines, pregnancy and more
- Sample forms for the office
- Standing Orders for Influenza/Pneumococcal Vaccine; Healthcare Personnel Vaccination; Administration Records for Children, Teens and Adults; a Refusal Form; Vaccine Storage and copies of the Vaccine Information Statement (VIS)
- Visit immunize.org for VIS in different languages.
- Information on MCIR – The Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR)
- MCIR data is uploaded into Priority Health’s Patient Profile monthly.
- Local and national resources such as michigan.gov/teenvaccines
- Updated recommendations on use of Tdap and meningococcal vaccines, and more
