2011 AIM toolkits offer helpful resources

The Alliance for Immunization in Michigan (AIM) tool kit is a great resource. If you haven’t received yours, go to aimtoolkit.org. It includes:

  • A guide for mandatory physician disease reporting to local health departments
  • Sources of vaccine information and CME opportunities
    • Participate in the Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program so your practice can receive vaccines at no charge for Medicaid-eligible children up to 18 years old
  • Tips for talking to families about vaccines, pregnancy and more
  • Sample forms for the office
    • Standing Orders for Influenza/Pneumococcal Vaccine; Healthcare Personnel Vaccination; Administration Records for Children, Teens and Adults; a Refusal Form; Vaccine Storage and copies of the Vaccine Information Statement (VIS)
    • Visit immunize.org for VIS in different languages.
  • Information on MCIR – The Michigan Care Improvement Registry (MCIR)
    • MCIR data is uploaded into Priority Health’s Patient Profile monthly.
  • Local and national resources such as michigan.gov/teenvaccines
  • Updated recommendations on use of Tdap and meningococcal vaccines, and more
