Great American Smokeout
The 35th Annual Great American Smokeout is a day set aside to encourage smokers to go 24 hours without smoking. It takes place every year on the third Thursday in November. The next event will be Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010. The American Cancer Society sponsors the event and provides assistance and resources to help smokers use the Smokeout as an opportunity to quit smoking for good. When discussing smoking cessation with your patients, bill codes 99406 or 99407 when appropriate.
