Avoidance of antibiotics for adults with bronchitis

The measure includes members 18 years of age as of Jan. 1, 2009, through 64 years of age as of Dec. 31, 2010, who aren’t dispensed a prescription for antibiotic medication on or within three days after the office or emergency department visit with diagnosis of acute bronchitis. The measure considers a negative medication history as well as a negative comorbid condition history and applies to members with HMO/POS coverage.
