Psoriasis treatment option added to skin conditions policy
Coverage criteria for the treatment of psoriasis have been updated in the Skin Conditions medical policy to include phototherapy (UVB) in a provider setting. This treatment is covered under a member's DME benefit. Coverage for home phototherapy (UVB) has also been revised from a requirement of psoriasis on = 30 percent of the body to = 10 percent of the body.
