Women benefit when OB Enrollment/Auth Form completed
Upon completion of the OB Enrollment/Auth form in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, your patient is automatically enrolled in our maternity support program and receives:
- An introductory packet on pregnancy/labor/delivery, immunizations
- Personal support by our maternity coordinator for high-risk pregnancies
- A referral to the Maternal Infant Health Program (Medicaid patients)
- A list of prenatal classes offered through participating hospitals/doctor's offices
- Lactation consultation services to assist with breastfeeding
- Home care visits to make sure mom and baby are adjusting well
- A four- to six-week postpartum checkup reminder to increase use of contraceptives, identify breastfeeding issues/early resolutions and screen for postpartum depression
